In a land best described as a cross between a Sergio Leone wasteland and a fairy tale realm from pages of Mother Goose, our whiskered sword-wielding Puss (Banderas) roams free as an outlaw, inspiring fear and awe while wooing the ever-swooning females of his species.

This film could either have been excellent or a huge disappointment, it being a spin-off from the "Shrek" quartet. It was most definitely the former and highly enjoyable for both adults and children alike. In fact, anyone who has ever shared their life with a cat will appreciate this film and find themselves laughing at the slightest nuances of behaviour of both Puss, Kitty Soft paws and all the feline supporting cats.

A great family film that I would recommend to anyone.
Such a fabulous film my boys and I loved it very much!!

Good film but quite long.

Edith Bowman 06 December 2011 This is a very funny film. I don't know if it's just the whole cats thing, or the script or Bandaras, Hayek and Galifianakis' brilliance, but I really wasn't expecting to laugh quite so much on this one. The fact it really doesn't take itself or anything too seriously makes for an intelligent, clever and hugely entertaining animation that I could watch again and again. The tone and the humour for the adults is important and works perfectly on this. Seeing Humpty Dumpty in a golden Egg costume sounds so simple but it's so visual and funny and animated brilliantly.
