Animation companies

1.                     Film A/S
The studio was founded on 1 August 1988 by animators Stefan Fjeldmark, Karsten Killerich, Jørgen Lerdam and Hans Perk and producer Anders Mastrup who met while working on the 1986 film Valhalla. In 1995, the Danish media corporation Egmont purchased 50 percent of A. Film and moved A. Film under the umbrella of its film division, Nordisk Film. Stefan Fjeldmark left A. Film in 2008 to pursue a career in live-action. Several animators who began their careers at A. Film became well established at the Disney and Dreamworks studios.
In 2010, A. Film A/S split into two companies: A. Film Production ApS which continues independent film production, and A. Film A/S under Nordisk Film which manages the rights of the earlier productions. The A. Film group of companies, with A. Film Production ApS as its base, includes the studios A. Film Eesti in Tallinn, Estonia (est. 1994) and A. Film L.A., Inc. in Los Angeles, California (est. 2008). In Berlin, Germany, A. Film is part of the studio Friendly Fritz. It previously owned studios in Riga, Latvia (2002–2010) and Munich, Germany (2006–2009).
A. Film A/S also worked as a subcontractor on films including FernGully: The Last Rain forest, Thumbelina, Once Upon a Forest, Felidae, A Goofy Movie, All Dogs Go To Heaven 2, Quest for Camelot and Eight Crazy Nights. In 2007, A. Film A/S provided services on Disney's How to Hook Up Your Home Theatre.


2.  Animax Entertainment
Animax Entertainment is an animation and interactive production studio based in Van Nuys, California. Animax's clients include Disney, ESPN, Warner Bros., National Geographic, Sesame Workshop, WWE[2] and many others. Animax has a particular expertise in Adobe Flash animation and has produced work for broadband, broadcast, DVD, CD-ROM and other platforms. Animax won a Sports Emmy Award in 2006 and was nominated again in 2007 for their work on ESPN.com's "Off-Mikes", based on Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg and their ESPN Radio show Mike and Mike in the Morning. The series was also selected as Adobe Systems' Site of the Day on June 20, 2006.[3] In 2007 the company branched out into live-action production with the launch of a viral video series for Kodak which was available on InkIsIt.com.[4] The company also produces original animation for TV and the web, such as Arnold Speaks.com, which was launched in 2006.



3.Digital Domain
Digital Domain is a visual effects and animation company founded by film director James Cameron, Stan Winston and Scott Ross. It is based in Venice, Los Angeles, California. The company is known for creating state-of-the-art digital imagery for feature films, television advertising, interactive visual media and the video game industry. The company is a majority owned subsidiary of Digital Domain Media Group (NYSEDDMG) based in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

4. Ring Tales
Ring Tales is an animation production company that creates short online cartoons from existing print comics. Their flagship series, The New Yorker Animated Cartoons, was nominated for a 2008 Webby Awards for Online Animation.
